Dollhouse

Handcrafted Ziatype prints on cotton bergger, hand finished with beeswax & lavender

The series 'Dollhouse' depicts the new breed of young western women in the 1920s Jazz Age in New York. These young women flaunted their disdain for what was then considered acceptable behavior and flouted both social and sexual norms.

The ziatype is a print out process that uses lithium palladium chloride and ammonium ferric oxalate applied to paper by hand to produce a continuous tone print. The Ziatype Process yields a print that is remarkably similar to the platinum / palladium print.
